Groups and Meetings
Most groups meet from September through to July. (full details of dates can be found on The Messenger page each month). The Friday Communion Service and Coffee Morning are held every week throughout the year.
MONDAYS
10.00 a.m. FELLOWSHIP CHOIR A group of ladies who enjoy singing. Their repertoire expands each year and covers both religious and secular music. The choir is delighted to visit local churches and clubs.
10.00 a.m. & 2.00 p.m. BOWLS CLUB The Bowls club meets at various times most days through the week. They play to the English Short Mat Association rules with full size woods. There is a membership fee for the season and a Green fee for each game. It`s a friendly game with a `cuppa`.
2.30 p.m. FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE This ladies group enjoys good companionship while spending a couple of hours making handicrafts for the Flower Festival stall. Anyone who can knit, sew, embroider, crochet and who likes a chat over a cup of tea is very welcome. Materials for the handicrafts are provided.
TUESDAYS
8.00 p.m. WIVES GROUP meet on the 2nd. & 4th. Tuesday of the month. This group of women in their 30`s, 40`s and 50+ socialise and raise funds in a friendly manner for local, national and international charities and for the church. They have a varied programme of Coffee evenings with speakers, plus fund-raising events and social outings.
2.00 p.m. BOWLS CLUB (see details under Monday)
WEDNESDAYS
10.00 a.m. MORNING HOUSE GROUP This group meets in the Church Coffee Lounge or in a members home, about twice a month. The group`s aim is to explore faith together in a relaxed fellowship, using a set course.
10.00 a.m. & 2.00 p.m. BOWLS CLUB (see details under Monday)
7.30 p.m. TABLE TENNIS CLUB A friendly, fun, sports club for all adults. It has in its time been affectionately called the "Adult Youth club!"
7.30 p.m. SCRABBLE EVENING This games evening is held fortnightly at the home of one of our members. (Details on request, or in The Messenger)
THURSDAYS
2.30 p.m. WOMEN`S FELLOWSHIP Who are we? We are women from many walks of life, some from other churches and some from none. Our programme is varied, lively and topical, presenting a gospel of hope and giving joy and inspiration for daily living. There is always a friendly cup of tea and a warm welcome.
3.45 p.m. CHOIR PRACTICE The choir is always pleased to welcome new members - all voices - are needed
7.30 p.m. WESLEY GUILD Meeting once a month, from October to March the Guild has a varied programme, usually with a speaker and then a cup of tea or coffee.
7.30 p.m. BEETLE DRIVE These fun evenings, for all ages, are held once or twice a month. Refreshments served, just £1 per person per evening.
FRIDAYS
10.00 a.m. HOLY COMMUNION
10.30 a.m. -12 noon COFFEE MORNING An opportunity to come along, chat and make friends over a cup of tea or coffee, and to browse round the stalls of cards and fancy goods.
