West Runton Methodist Church

Greetings, from the faithful few at West Runton....

Well, since Christmas, many of us will have shared in the Covenant Service and as I renew my covenant with God I am reminded of Ian. You see when it was decided that Ian would retire from work we went to his work place to clear his desk. There was a lot of papers that went straight in the bin, but there were a few surprises for me!

There was the paper clip pot the children and I had made some 30+ years ago out of a luncheon meat tin and some felt and trimmings, there was a picture of his young bride and a copy of the prayer found in the Covenant Service 'Put me to what you will........ '  you know the one.

During his working life Ian had been made redundant three times and in the end had to stop working with his beloved HGVs because of a spinal injury incurred during heart surgery…

Enough of this mardling and let me remind you of what is occurring in the month of February at the chapel.

Sunday worship is at 10.45 am
Women's Fellowship is at 2.30 every Tuesday afternoon.
Bible Study with East Runton will be 3rd Feb at West Runton and 17th Feb at East Runton, again at 2.30pm.

Greetings from Weybourne,….

Our first Carols by Candles service in December was led by Revd Colin Sherwood.  It was both a very happy and thoughtful service.  Our chapel was about three quarters full with quite a few visitors and people living in the village joined us and remarked on what a lovely service it was.

Our Carol Service in December was led by Mrs. Barbara Young and the chapel was almost full.  Refreshments followed.   Our total collection that day was £550, which included sales from our ever popular Santa sack and sale of mincepies.

Our short service on Christmas Day was led by Colin.  This was very happy with plenty of laughter  as well as being moving and thoughtful.
