Ash Wednesday Service

Lent Lunches

These will held on the following Tuesdays from 12.30 to 1.30p.m. in St. Joseph`s Church Hall, and organised by the churches on the rota below

 21st February  Baptist

   28th February  Quakers

    6th March        St Peter's

    13th March      Salvation Army

    20th March      St Joseph's

    27th March      St Andrew's

Soup & Roll £2. The money raised will be donated to Christian Aid's partner in Sierra Leone, for major improvements to two of the coutntry's main hospitals.

Approx £900 was raised from the Lent & Advent lunches during 2011. The European Union will quadruple every pound donated.

Events in March

...Coffee Morning

During Fair Trade Fortnight there will be a special Coffee Morning at St. Andrew's Church, on Friday 9th March from 10.45 -- !2 noon. Home made cakes and biscuits made using Fair Trade ingredients to sample,. cakes to buy, recipe swap, Fair Trade stall and, of course a cup of Fair Trade tea or coffee.

You'll be most welcome!

To mark my 70th Birthday I am holding an ‘At Home’ on Saturday March 10th   Light lunches, tea/coffee/soft drinks will be served.  Please come and enjoy some of the day with me, friends and family. 

No presents please, but if you wish, donations will be welcome and divided between Missionary Aviation Fellowship and Prison Fellowship.  J.G.
